Acting OUT is a SKETCH program where young people, with lived-experience in the social service sector, are trained to use theatre to engage in system change.
Through educational programming that builds improvisation and communication skills, youth work together preparing to share their voices and knowledge with service providers. Professionals working in youth-serving organizations then have the opportunity to learn practically, by interacting in “real-life” scenarios created by system-wise young people. To book a session see the brochure below!
Youth “trainers” develop leadership skills, and build workers’ capacities to support young people. Acting OUT has a dream that everyone working with young people living on the margins is first taught by young people with lived-experience.
