SKETCH :: Working Arts for Street Involved and Homeless youth.

We welcome you to SKETCH and appreciate your interest. We value each and every relationship we have with our supporters in our important work with street-involved and homeless youth. Donations allow us to provide unique and transformative opportunities for youth to participate in the arts and develop their own voice in the community.

*Please note that all donations of $20 or more are fully tax-deductible. Tax receipts are sent to donors within one week of receiving the donation. Charitable Registration No: 85912 8332 RR0001.

Ways to Support SKETCH

1. Join our Monthly Giving Program
Giving on a monthly basis is one of the most valuable ways of making a difference. This type of consistent and ongoing giving provides a stable source of income which allows us to better anticipate the amount of funding we will receive for the year. This is invaluable when planning and delivering programs. Monthly giving helps to ensure a long-term and sustainable future for SKETCH and a more secure place youth can count on. Help build a secure base for SKETCH by joining this very special group of supporters.

*Please note that monthly donors receive one annual tax receipt for the total amount of their monthly contributions.

2. Make a one-time donation
Every single contribution from the community is recognized as significant in the development of this initiative. Even contributions of modest amounts play a role in helping SKETCH flourish and grow.

3. Tribute Giving
a.) Make a donation In Memory of a loved one who has passed away. This is a thoughtful way to remember a life, by giving a gift that represents future possibilities to others.

b.) Make a donation In Honour of someone special. This is a unique way to say thank you, to celebrate or to congratulate. Making a donation in this way can be a powerful and positive way to commemorate a special occasion while simultaneously building a stronger community. For example, you may want to celebrate a new life, a birthday, an anniversary, a graduation or simply a friendship.

*When you make a tribute gift, the individual or family will be immediately notified of the gift with a special SKETCH card but the amount of the contribution will be kept confidential. Please be sure to include the honoree’s contact information (you can use this form).

4. Matching Employee Gift Programs
One of the easiest ways to maximize the impact of your donation is through a matching gift program, where a company will match donations to charitable organizations, usually dollar for dollar. There are hundreds of Canadian companies that will match donations made by their employees and sometimes even retirees and spouses. Click here to find out if the company you work for has such a program in place. Even if your company is not listed here, ask your HR department because there is a good chance they will have this program. Our current list is not exhaustive so let us know if there is a company we can add.

How? Ask for a form from your HR department and after completing the form, send it along with the donation to SKETCH. We will certify on the form that it has been received and will return the form to your company, who will then verify the eligibility of the employee and send a cheque to SKETCH. You will be mailed an official tax receipt for your gift and once we receive your employer’s matching gift, they will receive a receipt as well.

Gifts can be made to SKETCH in one of the following ways:

1. Cash and Cheque donations
To drop off cash donations, please visit our location at 580 King St. West, 2nd floor during our administrative hours of operation (Monday to Thursday 10am - 5pm). Please call ahead.

2. Credit card donations
Download and complete the donation form and mail, fax or email to SKETCH.

3. Canada Helps donations
Click the link in our side bar to make a secure online donation through the Canada Helps portal. Canada Helps provides tax receipts.

4. In kind donations
We accept donations of items, and in some cases can provide tax receipts for them. Please call (416) 516-5428 and/or check our needs page to see what is especially useful to us. Please contact us before brining the donation in.
