$25 supports a youth to participate in exhibits such as the Toronto Outdoor Art Festival or the Queen West Art Crawl. Vending and exhibiting artwork is a great opportunity for youth to gain exposure and recognition, sell their art, network with other artists, and gain insight into marketing and entrepreneurialism. A gift of $50 provides all the necessary materials for a youth
to participate in a drawing session that fosters their creativity and self-expression.This includes: pens, paper, erasers, space, and instruction from an experienced artist. A drawing session is a great entry point for a new participant to join the SKETCH community. I want to support this!
A gift of $75 provides all the necessary materials for a youth to
participate in a group mural painting session. This includes 2 large pails of paint, brushes, canvas, design and instruction. Through
mural projects youth learn how to design and paint on a large scale and work as a team to produce impressive results! I want to support this!
A gift of $120 provides all the materials for a workshop in community gardening for up to 15 youth.
This includes 20 packs of seeds, garden tools, soil, garden teachers, and plots. Youth learn how to plant, nurture and harvest herbs and vegetables and make nutritious meals. I want to support this!
A gift of $200 provides a nutritious meal for 40 young people at SKETCH. This includes all ingredients—many fresh from our Community Gardens—as well as preparation time in our kitchens, education on the importance of healthy eating, nutrition, and self-care. I want to support this!
$300 will provide 10 youth with a focused workshop in a specific artistic discipline, led by a professional artist. Through guest workshops, youth gain a range of artistic skills and inspiration. Past workshops have included song-writing, pottery, textiles, silk-screening, dance, theatre, collage, and many more. I want to support this!
A gift of $400 provides a nutritious meal for 80 young people. This includes all ingredients, many fresh from our Community Gardens, as well as preparation time in our kitchens, education around healthy eating, nutrition, and self-care. I want to support this!
$500 covers the cost of providing comprehensive training for one young woman in our Gender Based Analysis Program. Training prepares young women to facilitate peer-to-peer workshops for other young women to promote gender-based equity in their relationships and community. This program strengthens their leadership, confidence and facilitation skills. I want to support this!
Youth work one-on-one with our staff of professional musicians and recording technicians in our Music Recording Studio to record and engineer their own album. Youth learn how to market and promote their work through bio-writing, marketing strategy, online networking, gig booking, and creating album artwork. I want to support this!
Community Artists are paid youth leadership positions that foster the development of transferable artistic and leadership skills through job training and experience. I want to support this!
